Christian Fanning Eastern Washington Football: Giving Back to the Community

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football is a kicker in the EWU Eagles football program. He has shown great leg strength, and while still in high school was making fifty-plus yard field goals with plenty of room to spare. Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football says he would like to become the starting placekicker and kickoff specialist for the Eagles and contribute to the team winning an FCS National Championship, and there are coaches who say he has the leg strength and kicking skills to do it.

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football knows that he is lucky to possess the athletic abilities that set him apart from most of his peers. And he has never hesitated to give back to the community. From the seventh grade through twelfth grade, was a member of Teen Volunteers In Action (TVIA), a San Diego Philanthropy Organization for teen boys. The purpose of TVIA is exclusively educational and charitable. Teen Volunteers In Action is an organization of young men who, together with their families, are committed to developing community leaders through a structured program of volunteerism, philanthropy, and personal development. TVIA volunteer activities involve active, hands-on service in the community.

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football donated 120 hours of his time to TVIA. From the eighth through twelfth grades, he was also a member of its Leadership Council.

Christian Fanning of Eastern Washington Football also volunteered his time to the Corazon de Vida Foundation in Mexico. He worked at an orphanage in Mexico, bringing needed supplies to the residents there and entertaining the children. He also participated in “building a home in a day” for a needy, homeless family in Mexico.
